The issuing of ID cards for staff members, family members and service staff is based on rules set forth in “Guidelines for Issuance of Identification Cards to Diplomatic Missions and Foreign Offices.”NOTE:STAFF MEMBERS refer to foreign diplomats and officials assigned by the sending state.FAMILY MEMBERS refer to members of families forming part of households of staff members, including spouses, children under 18, parents and parent-in-laws.SERVICE STAFF refers to staff assigned by the sending state to serve and assist DMFO heads.Foreign private servants hired locally by staff members of DMFO are not entitled to register for ID cards in the Department of Protocol.
