I. Required Documents
Applications for BTE Cards may take at least one month to process. To apply, Diplomatic Missions and Foreign Offices (DMFOs) shall submit a note verbale or official letter upon the arrival of their staff member enclosed with the following documents:
1. A completed Application Form for Identification/Business Tax Exemption Card;
2. A recent 1-inch photograph on white background.
II. Important Information Regarding the Use of the BTE Card:
1. The BTE Card shall be presented together with the holder’s MOFA ID card at the time of purchase.
2. To assist sales personnel in processing transactions, the Chinese BTE Card Instruction is available via the QR code on the back of the BTE Card for scanning. It can also be accessed online (Click Here).
