On February 15, Foreign Minister Dr. Joseph Wu gave an exclusive interview to Bill Birtles, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) correspondent based in Taipei. The interview was broadcast as part of the ABC news program titled “7.30” aired on the evening of March 8. It covered Taiwan’s recent one-year military conscription extension and preparations for the 2024 presidential election.
