R.O.C. (Taiwan) government congratulates Bola Tinubu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress party, on his election as president of Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on March 1 announced that Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress party, was elected president of Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy, following the presidential election held on February 25. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has instructed the Taipei Trade Office in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to extend congratulations on the government’s behalf to President-elect Tinubu on his victory and to Nigeria on the smooth completion of its election.

 

Director General Anthony Chung-yi Ho of MOFA’s Department of West Asian and African Affairs congratulated Trade Commissioner Ibrahim A. Ahmed of the Nigeria Trade Office in Taiwan, R.O.C., over the phone. He also expressed the hope that bilateral cooperation and exchanges will continue to deepen across all domains in the future. (E)
