MOFA alerts Taiwan nationals, calls on Thailand to maintain order and political stability through democratic legal means

1. The ROC Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the military takeover in Thailand, calls on Thailand to promptly restore order and political stability through democratic legal means.
 
2. The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand has added two new emergency contact numbers. MOFA and TECO in Thailand remain in close contact and continue to monitor developments to keep Taiwan nationals informed.
 
3. As the Thai military has taken control of the government, declared martial law, and imposed a curfew, MOFA reminds Taiwan nationals in Thailand to remain vigilant, abide by the latest Thai government pronouncements and provisionary instructions from security personnel, avoid going out during curfew, and pay special attention to their personal safety. Taiwan businesspeople and tourists traveling to Thailand should take extra precautions, plan their itineraries carefully, and contact TECO in Thailand in case of emergency.
