A Taiwanese citizen as well as their spouse and two children of Israeli nationality, departed Israel on a special evacuation flight organized by the government of Japan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China (Taiwan) sincerely thanks the Japanese government for its friendship and kind assistance to Taiwanese citizens.

The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Tel Aviv (TECO) has long maintained close contact with like-minded nations’ missions in Israel. When the Japanese government arranged for a Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) transport plane to bring its citizens home from Israel, the Embassy of Japan in Israel informed TECO that it would provide several seats for Taiwanese citizens. After inquiries were made by TECO, a Taiwanese national and three family members registered for the flight.

Taiwan and Japan are Indo-Pacific partners that share the common values of democracy, freedom, and human rights. Both countries help each other evacuate citizens from conflict zones, fully demonstrating their true friendship and mutual support. TECO will continue to provide proactive and necessary assistance to Taiwanese nationals wishing to leave Israel.

The JASDF special evacuation flight departed Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv at 4 p.m. on November 2, local time, and is scheduled to arrive at Haneda Airport in Tokyo shortly after 6 p.m. on November 3, Tokyo time. (E)
