Senator Jarosław Duda of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland leads delegation to the Republic of China

At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan), a seven-member delegation consisting of senators and non-governmental organization (NGO) representatives from the Republic of Poland will visit Taiwan on August 18-22, 2014. The delegation will be led by Senator Jarosław Duda of the Polish Parliament.
Hung Hsiu-Chu, Vice President of the Legislative Yuan, and Vanessa Yea-Ping Shih, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, will each host a dinner and a luncheon for the delegation. The members will also call at the Legislative Yuan, Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Health and Welfare, National Development Council, National Health Insurance Administration, Taipei City government, and Warsaw Trade Office in Taipei. In addition, they will visit the Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taipei branch of the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation, Eden Social Welfare Foundation, and Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps. The delegation will also have excursions to the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Shilin Night Market, and Beipu Old Town.
The above arrangements based on the requests and interests of the delegation members aim to provide them a better understanding of Taiwan’s most recent political, economic, and social developments; promote exchanges in the areas of social welfare policies and NGO affairs; and enhance bilateral parliamentary interaction and cooperation.
