Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah of Kuwait passed away on December 16. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed Representative Tan Kuo-ting of the Taipei Commercial Representative Office in the State of Kuwait to express heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the government and people of Kuwait.
Emir Sheikh Nawaf assumed office in September 2020. During his tenure, he was greatly respected by the people of Kuwait. He is succeeded by Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Sabah. (E)
