Other delegation members include Chairman of the Czech-Taiwan Friendship Group Marek Benda, Chairman of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) parliamentary club Zbyněk Stanjura, as well as MPs Jiří Junek, and Jiří Koskuba.

The delegation will have an audience with President Ma Ying-jeou, and call on Vice President of the Legislative Yuan Hung Hsiu-chu, Minister of Transportation and Communications Chen Jian-yu, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Cho Shih-chao, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Chien Chung-liang, Deputy Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council Lin Chu-chia, and Mayor of Tainan City Lai Ching-te. Vice President of the Legislative Yuan Hung Hsiu-chu and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Vanessa Y. P. Shih will host separate luncheons in their honor. They will also call at the National Security Council, the Industrial Technology Research Institute’s Southern Region Campus, National Taiwan University Hospital, as well as visit the National Palace Museum, Fort Provintia, Tainan Confucius Temple, Yangmingshan National Park, and other sites of cultural interest.

With the exception of Chairman Benda, this is the first time the delegation members will have been to Taiwan. It will also strengthen cultural, tourism, trade, and parliamentary exchanges between the two countries. (E)
