R.O.C. (Taiwan) government congratulates India on successful completion of 18th parliamentary election

The vote count for the Republic of India’s 18th Lok Sabha election was completed on June 5, with the National Democratic Alliance winning the majority of seats. The government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) extends its sincere congratulations to the Indian government and people on the successful completion of the election.

Taiwan and India are both key members of the Indo-Pacific region. In recent years, bilateral relations have steadily advanced. Exchanges in areas such as the economy, trade, semiconductor technology, education, and culture have grown particularly close. India is also an important partner in Taiwan’s digital New Southbound initiative. Taiwan looks forward to working with India’s new government on the basis of existing friendly ties to continue cooperation in industry chains and other domains so as to jointly contribute to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
