Prime Minister of Singapore Lawrence Wong was sworn in on May 15, becoming the country’s fourth prime minister. The government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulates Prime Minister Wong on his inauguration and thanks outgoing Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for his long-standing support of relations between Taiwan and Singapore.
Taiwan and Singapore share close and cordial ties. Taiwan looks forward to both sides further expanding cooperation in all domains, including the economy, trade, education, tourism, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, and continuing to deepen bilateral bonds of friendship. (E)
