President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Vice President Kamala D. Harris were sworn in as the 46th President and the 49th Vice President of the United States on January 20, 2021. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hereby extends its warmest congratulations to both President Biden and Vice President Harris.
In recent years, through the efforts of both sides, ties between Taiwan and the United States have become even stronger and more robust. The two sides have comprehensively deepened their relationship and elevated it into a global cooperative partnership. The government looks forward to working with the new US administration to further strengthen bilateral relations and contribute to the promotion of peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
